Not sure where to start? Check out our Top 7 reasons why you should attend HSBC SVNS:
1. World-class sport
HSBC SVNS LAX is set to host an electrifying spectacle with the world's top 12 men's and 12 women's rugby sevens teams, including powerhouse nations like the New Zealand All Blacks Sevens and Black Ferns Sevens, double men’s Olympic champions Fiji, perennial favourites South Africa, Samoa, Australia, Canada, Argentina and both USA men’s and women’s national teams looking to inspire the crowd with their performances.
Across two-and-a-half thrilling days of competition, some of the world’s best athletes will display unmatched speed, skill, and athleticism, taking to the stage at the venue that will host the LA 2028 Olympic rugby sevens competition.
And the cherry on the cake? France’s 15s captain and arguably one of the world’s best rugby player, Antoine Dupont, is set to play in LA in his bid to compete in the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
Having come up short as France’s leader at Rugby World Cup 2023, Dupont is desperate to be involved in the next big rugby global event on home soil and will look to use the new HSBC SVNS Series to adapt to the shorter, fast-paced format of the game.
2. Fast and furious action
Rugby sevens is an abbreviated form of rugby, featuring two teams of seven players. Played on a full-size rugby pitch, a rugby sevens match is 14 minutes long, consisting of two halves of seven minutes each. The opposing teams compete to score points via tries, conversions, penalties and drop goals. The winning team is the one with the most points at the end of the match. As in the 15-a-side game, the ball must be passed backwards and can be moved up the pitch by running, passing or kicking it.
Sevens rugby is full of energy and set on making big waves. Super-charged and thrill-a-minute, it’s the ultimate test of individual skills and fitness, guaranteeing end-to-end action and tries galore!
And for a change of pace, Sunday evening will see RFCLA in their Major League Rugby home opener against Dallas Jackals. This match is free to attend for SVNS LAX Sunday and Weekend ticket holders.
3. Kick back at the Beach Club
We'll bring the beach, you bring the energy! Party all afternoon, through sundowners, into the night at our iconic beach club. With DJ’s playing dance floor fillers and classic anthems, bars and delicious food, you can spend as long or as little at the Beach Club as you want. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
And if you get a little restless, why not try your hand at Beach Padel Tennis?
4. Savour the Food Markets
This isn't your regular food market. Fusing together the best of local cuisines, art and music, the HSBC SVNS LAX food market is a theatre for the hungry. Whether you've been soaking up the rays or getting stuck into the rugby, our street food heaven is high on the HSBC SVNS agenda.
5. Party on with live music
